Web3 Security Expert for Blockchain Analysis

I'm are looking for a freelance Web3 Security Researcher to lead critical initiatives in securing Web3 platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing security tools, detecting advanced vulnerabilities, and contributing to our product strategy. This role requires close collaboration with our team to ensure that our Web3 Security Posture Management platform remains ahead of emerging threats and helps shape the future of blockchain security. This can be a long-term contract. Key Responsibilities • Security Tool Enhancement: Assess and improve existing security tools to expand detection capabilities and address security gaps. • Advanced Threat Detection: Support the refinement of security solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to minimize false positives and identify business logic vulnerabilities. • Threat Intelligence & Research: Proactively analyze new Web3 threats and vulnerabilities, developing effective mitigation strategies. • Attack Simulation & Analysis: Recreate and analyze real-world Web3 attacks in controlled environments to test and refine defense mechanisms. • Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Assist in strengthening the team’s Web3 security expertise by sharing knowledge, best practices, and research findings. • Strategic Security Contributions: Identify new detection opportunities and evaluate their technical feasibility and business impact. Requirements • Expertise in Web3 Security: Strong knowledge of blockchain platforms, smart contracts, and common vulnerabilities in decentralized ledger technologies (DLTs). • Smart Contract Auditing Experience: Proven experience in auditing widely used protocols and libraries (e.g., Uniswap, Aave, Compound). • Analytical & Investigative Skills: Ability to analyze complex protocol attacks, identify vulnerabilities, and propose effective security improvements. • Mentorship & Training Experience: Experience in guiding technical teams on complex security topics. • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document and explain security findings in English. Nice to Have • Programming Experience: Proficiency in Python, Rust, or Golang. • LLM Integration: Experience with AI-driven security solutions and LLM-based detection models. • Reverse Engineering Expertise: Ability to analyze third-party security tools and integrate findings into internal solutions.
