I'm looking for an experienced web scraper developer who can build a scraper to download all the latest PCF PDF documents and parse them for specific columns of data. The parsed data should be saved in Excel and potentially a PostgreSQL database. The starting Task will be to pull down the PDF from Lenovos website: [login to view URL] There is approximately 900 data sheets here. I attached a sheet of the basic columns we are collecting from other manufacturers. What we are looking for is for a PYTHON Scraper that can run and check for newly added items, download the PDF and PARSE the PDF for the columns we are interested in. We will plan to do this for other manufacturers after this project commences. Ideal Skills: - Web Scraping - Python (or equivalent scripting language) - PDF parsing - Database management (specifically PostgreSQL) - Excel data manipulation Key Requirements: - The scraper should be able to download the latest PCF PDF documents regularly. - The parsed data should be saved in Excel and potentially a PostgreSQL database. - The ability to identify and extract specific columns of data from the PDFs. - Experience in web scraping and data extraction is a must. - Knowledge of PDF parsing and database management, particularly PostgreSQL, is highly desirable. - Competence in Excel data manipulation is required.
