Project 3 Specification
For the third project, you are going to create an interactive game. There are three game scenarios you can choose to create: The Peccary's Breakfast, Underwater Cleanup, or Zombie Cats. No matter which game you choose, there are common things to program as well as game-specific elements to create.
Basic Requirements for All Games
You must complete these requirements no matter which game you choose.
Game Elements
An initial scene that asks the user to play the game
Instructions on how to play the game
The player must click 5 specific objects
A "clicked item" animation happens when a game object is clicked
Once the user has clicked all 5 objects, the game is won (must complete "clicked item" animation for 5th object)
A final scene to tell the user they've won
Programming Elements
Comment your code effectively
Use events to allow user interaction
Create all specified methods
Use sound effects when the user enters specified keystrokes (e.g., when the help key is pressed)
Use sound effects in response to actions in the game (e.g., clicked correct object, clicked incorrect object, scenario-specific sounds)
Include theme music
Provide in-game help (using a billboard); help should be displayed when the user enters a specific keystroke (e.g., h)'
Deliverables
There are four deliverables for this project:
A set of storyboards
A programmatic outline of the game
A written report on what you learned from the animation-sharing day
The final animation project file (.a3p) and an Alice Player export (.a3w)
