The project involves developing a User Authentication and Order Management System, meeting modern web standards and best practices in security and functionality. - Frontend Development: - Design an intuitive and responsive login page with client-side validation using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Develop an Order Display Page to show paginated orders for authenticated users, using JavaScript or React for state management. - Implement an "Add Order" feature that is visible only to admin users, allowing them to create manual orders for any existing user. - Backend Development: - Create a secure authentication API in PHP/Laravel for user login, including input validation and credential checking against a database. - Develop RESTful API endpoints for order management, ensuring only authenticated users can access them and differentiate between admin and standard user functionalities. - Utilize a database to store user and order data with a well-structured schema. - Security Measures: - Implement industry-standard security practices, including hashed and salted passwords, prepared statements to prevent SQL injection, and token-based authentication or other measures for secure API calls. - Testing: - Write unit tests for backend API endpoints and a basic test case for frontend functionality.
