Modify an existing cocoa app

I have an app that works fine save for one small point. I have a window (proposalWorkWindow of AppDelegate.h) with a button (imageEditor of AppDelegate.h) that should open another window (imageEditor of Controller.h) and run some code (showAndActivate of Controller.h) I have a hacky solution that opens up the window but the code in Controller.m is never properly executed . The code is located at line 812 in AppDelegate.m This should be a solution of maybe a few lines of code- I just cant get it to work and need a new set of eyes.
