Arduino 32x8 led matrix max7219

I need a function to control a 32x8 LED matrix (MAX7219). The function should be able to pass the minute and second of player1 and player2 (see attachment). Apart from the output of the time, the current player should be marked with a wave sign at the bottom of the display.
