We are a startup building a Software as a Service (SaaS) Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to help establish our AWS infrastructure. This is a key role with the opportunity to lay the foundation for our platform’s long-term scalability and security. Project Scope: This project will involve setting up and configuring the following AWS infrastructure components: Elastic Container Service (ECS) with Fargate for containerized applications. Amazon ECR for managing container images. PostgreSQL RDS database setup and configuration. Redis and ElastiCache for caching and session management. AWS Lambda functions and API Gateway for serverless components. S3 bucket for file storage. CloudFront CDN for website hosting with assets stored on S3. Bastion Host for secure access to private resources such as Redis and PostgreSQL within the VPC. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform. Set up ECS with Fargate and manage deployments using ECR. Configure and optimize PostgreSQL RDS and Redis/ElastiCache instances. Set up API Gateway and Lambda functions to handle serverless operations. Manage S3 buckets and configure CloudFront for efficient content delivery. Establish a secure Bastion Host for accessing private VPC resources such as RDS and ElastiCache. Ensure all systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. Qualifications: Strong experience with AWS services, particularly ECS with Fargate, ECR, RDS, ElastiCache, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and CloudFront. Expertise in Terraform or other IaC tools for automating infrastructure deployment. Solid understanding of networking, VPCs, security groups, subnets, and NAT gateways. Experience setting up a Bastion Host for secure private resource access. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on security best practices. Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
