Her journey began at the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad & Tobago where she published the short story, “Gone” in the anthology, Caribbean Musings: Narratives of Identity. At the Dominica State College and University of the Southern Caribbean she taught academic writing, English literature and Creative writing: The Short story, and has worked with Education First (EF) as a consultant for online Foreign Language learning. She is the freelance writer of the narrative, Silent Fortitude: Haitian Women in Agriculture in Dominica, a story submitted to the Eastern Caribbean Small Grants (ECSG) Program, to support the production of stories that highlight climate OR COVID resilient groups and communities in Barbados and Dominica through Internews with funding from the Clara Lionel Foundation. Being a published author, she has given herself the mandate of creating a platform/space for Dominican youth to tell their narratives, and has done so by creating the social media page, Tann Nou Narratives, in hopes of encouraging more Dominicans to share their stories. She believes, “Dominican youth need to know that their stories have a place in this world; their stories are worth writing and sharing.” At leisure she enjoys outdoor activities - hiking, running, picnics, sailing- with friends and family, and feels most at peace near the ocean. ít hơn
