Dr. Christina N. Kraus is a UCI Health dermatologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of general and complex skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, melanoma and other skin cancers, autoimmune skin conditions, pigmentary disorders and skin conditions during pregnancy.
She has a special interest in genital and vulvar mucosal dermatoses, including lichen sclerosus, lichen planus, lichen simplex chronicus, hidradenitis suppurativa, Behçet's disease and plasma cell vulvitis.
Kraus earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., followed by an internship in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where she was named intern of the year. She completed a dermatology residency at the UCI School of Medicine, where she served as a chief resident.
Her research interests include medical dermatology as well as genital and vulvar mucosal disorders. She is an author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed research papers and regularly gives presentations at national conferences. She also is a champion of inclusiveness and diversity.
Kraus sees patients in Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin and Yorba Linda.
