Dr. Daniel S. Chow is a board-certified UCI Health diagnostic radiologist who specializes in neuroradiology.
Chow received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, then completed an internship in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif. Next, he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Irvine Medical Center in New York City., followed by fellowship training in neuroradiology at UC San Francisco Medical Center. He has since received a master's degree from the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine.
His research is focused on operationalizing new digital health technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics for intracranial hemorrhage triage, brain tumor imaging evaluation and COVID-19. These efforts have been sponsored by a variety of organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Cancer Society, the federal COVID-19 task force and the biomedical imaging industry. He also was instrumental in making UCI Health the first in California to use portable MRI technology.
Chow also serves as vice chair of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the UCI School of Medicine's Department of Radiological Sciences and oversees the testing and implementation of new technologies in radiology operations and medical imaging.
