As part of its strategy to strengthen its service offerings to independent wealth managers, Union Bancaire Privée, UBP SA (UBP) has decided to join the Wecan Group network as well as the Blockchain Association for Finance.

UBP is among the largest private banks in Switzerland and one of the best-capitalized institutions in its sector. Based in Geneva and present in over 20 locations worldwide, the Bank specializes in wealth management for private and institutional clients.

This decision by UBP will enable the independent wealth managers collaborating with the Bank to facilitate periodic reviews, secure exchanges, and streamline the onboarding process for new clients.

Frédéric Toselli, Global Head of External Asset Managers (EAM) at UBP, commented on the occasion:

“We have been involved with Wecan Comply since its inception and are delighted to now join the Wecan Group network to offer independent wealth managers a truly cutting-edge technological solution.”

Vincent Pignon, Executive Chairman of Wecan Group, added: “UBP is a historic partner of Wecan, and we are excited to initiate a long-term collaboration with a rapidly expanding bank. UBP can now offer all External Asset Managers the ability to store and share their data securely and at no cost, whether for regular publications or future onboardings.”

Philippe Reynier, CEO of Wecan Group, specifies “Last June, Arab Bank (Switzerland) also announced its joining of the network, and after UBP’s decision, many other collaboration announcements are expected in the coming months.”

With its expertise, the Wecan Group network continues to grow, both in Switzerland and internationally, with the deployment of new standards such as KYC, KY-Trustee, and KYC Crypto.
