TU Graz takes the following measures to ensure the barrier-free accessibility of its websites:
- Website accessibility is included as part of our technical, graphic and editorial guidelines.
- We take the following editorial measures to improve content accessibility: In texts as well as text and language mark-ups, we use predefined headings and format templates; in images, we use alternative texts; in videos, we use subtitles, accessible documents and accessible web forms.
- Accessibility guidelines are provided for website editors.
- We regularly check the quality of websites regarding their accessibility.
- We involve people with disabilities while developing website accessibility.
Compliance status according to the requirements
These websites are partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1.
The content listed below is only partially accessible or is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- Videos: We provide subtitles for published videos. Since most of our videos are hosted on the YouTube video platform, it is currently not possible to provide audio captions for these videos.
- Documents: We strive to make all documents on the website accessible. A limited number of documents, such as brochures or flyers in PDF format, are currently not yet fully accessible.
- Colour contrast: Deviations from the required colour contrast cannot be ruled out in the case of logos or, in exceptional cases, for coloured boxes with text content.
Preparation of this Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on 27 January 2021 and is regularly updated.
This statement was prepared based on a self-assessment carried out by TU Graz.
Plans have been made to regularly self-test the websites for compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

If the response received from the contact person named above is not satisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints filed online via the electronic contact form (German).
The FFG will examine whether the complaint relates to violations of the Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz - WZG), and particularly to a failure on the part of TU Graz or associated institutions to comply with the accessibility requirements
If the complaint is justified, the FFG will provide recommendations for further action to TU Graz or the legal entities concerned and propose measures designed to remedy the problem.
