We ordered the 13x13 pergola in mid-June, expecting delivery in 8-10 weeks or mid to late August. Communication was great initially but about a month later updates stopped and I couldn’t get a response by phone or email until I called sales. Basically they ran ad campaigns that were too successful and backed up delivery. We finally did receive the pergola unexpectedly 3 days before Helene hit us. It survived its first hurricane in boxes under a tarp. I can’t say enough about the packaging. Sturdy cardboard in two layers with foam beneath. The product was in perfect shape. The storm delayed installing until late October. The Bad: The enclosed instructions are straight trash. They are in the Ikea model, with few words or details. Also illustrations are small and hard to see. YOU NEED TO KNOW: Everything is metric. You’ll need a 13 mm socket wrench. It’s essential. If anchoring to concrete you ideally use a 10.5mm masonry bit. I couldn’t find one and used a 3/8 and “wiggled" it in the hole with mixed results. If it’s too small and you start the anchor bolt it’s hard to get out or tighten. When installing the Louvers pay close attention to the illustration of how the linking strip is oriented. I didn’t and had to repeat it. ALSO: Install the strips on the inside edge BEFORE placing louvers on the other side. Trust me. This is an excellent product, sturdy and beautifully made. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is the terrible instructions and some poor communications in the ordering process. Lots of room for improvement there.
