What I’m Looking For:
• Expertise in WordPress (software integration, custom paywalls, and payment methods)
• Ability to set up and manage hosting servers for optimal performance and security
• Familiarity with live and recorded streaming functionality, including streaming from multiple locations to the site
• Strong security implementation (SSL, encryption, user data protection)
• Ability to build scalable systems that can handle growth
• SEO knowledge to optimize the site for search engines from the start
• Understanding of UX/UI design to create a visually appealing and user-friendly site
• Problem-solving mindset to handle technical challenges without reshaping the business vision
• Clear and straightforward communication skills to explain technical activities in a way that’s easy to understand
• Experience with SaaS integrations is a plus
• Familiar with version control (e.g., Git) and able to provide ongoing maintenance and support
• Ability to implement multilingual capabilities to reach a global audience.
• Familiarity with integrating web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel for user tracking and insights.
‼️Non-negotiable:
• US person and proof of citizenship required: Due to the nature of my current job in the US government, this is a legal necessity and not a reflection of my feelings toward foreign nationals.
• NDA requirement: You must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure the protection of this unique business idea. This NDA is not simply a “piece of paper” that will not be enforced if violated. This entire business is heavily regulated by attorneys given the industry, investors, and stakeholder interest - all of whom have each signed the NDA as well and are banking on a future developer and/or partner to be trustworthy.
Please note: This startup has nothing to do with my current employment in the US government and is in a completely separate industry, outside the defense and military industrial base.
✅What I Expect:
• Respect for the outlined vision: My last experience involved a developer who aggressively overstepped, refused to make very basic aesthetic changes, made decisions misaligned with my business model, and completely minimized my idea. Naturally, I have some higher standards as a result of that experience but I believe what I’m asking for is [login to view URL] isn’t a project where I need advice on reshaping my business. If I feel I need advice, I will kindly ask for it. I need someone who can execute what’s asked, exactly as requested.
• Proof of prior work and concept: I’m looking for demonstrated expertise and alignment with the technical requirements. Please provide a summary, examples of your previous projects, and evidence of your ability to deliver results.
• Comfort with minimal business details: While I’ll provide the necessary technical and design specifications, the broader business strategy isn’t up for discussion during development. I promise you will have everything you need, and if we hit it off, then even better!
• Negotiable price and timeline: Compensation and project timelines are negotiable, provided you meet the conditions of employment and deliver on the required technical milestones.
Future Opportunities:
If I’m pleased with your ability to execute, and we gel together, I’m open to offering a formal position within the business upon its launch, such as CTO, Senior Cyber + IT Director, or another title that fits. What matters for this job though is that when I ask for X, I get X—not LMNOP1234.
