I got an email from hostgator today saying that there are some errors on my wordpress site:

I am how ever able to see a few issues with the links on your page. To have your SSL properly working you will need to ensure that all your links on your page are using the https:// ( as you do want your link secured, as an unsecure link will result in a error on your domain). Once you correct the links on your page your SSL will be working perfectly. I have attached the links below that will need to be updated.
