bbpress to phpbb both

the website has a bbpress forum, it is new and only has possibly 25 to 30 topics. Maybe 3 posts total so far. I don't want to start from scratch and am wanting to convert it to Phpbb forums. I need a custom registration form with manual approval which I have in place for the bbpress, figure it will work for Phpbb but not sure. The forums are password protected and I don't want them to be viewed unless logged in.
