Are you from Sri Lanka? Do you know much about travel and tourism?
I need my task list filled out with the necessary actions required to plan a 9 day visit to Sri Lanka as per my requirements.
I am a Caribbean British developer who’d like to go on a 9 day break in various parts of Sri Lanka to do a few tours, some shopping, some gym workouts, and a visit to my Sri Lankan colleagues in Colombo.
Use the Excel spreadsheet (PDF preview attached). Add a list of all the tasks that are required to be performed and whom by. (Remove the dummy entries)
Questions, Details, Accommodation, Safety, Cautions, Paper-work, and so forth. Whatever needs to be done to plan the trip, put it on my to-do list.
• Enter the tasks in the sheet, like a To-Do list.
• Group each task.
• Set the priority order from 1 upwards (first to last).
• Set who the task is for, me Chris (preferably not), or an agency, an expert, a guide, a taxi driver, a hotel, who is the task for.
• In the second tab, add any personal suggestions or links, flights etc
• In the suggestions, put down places, landmarks, books, contacts or anything worth looking into
My requirements
• Minimum input or work from me
• I’d like to visit English speaking restaurants / accommodation; I only know English.
• 9 days, leave the UK (London) on Friday, return following week Sunday/Monday.
• Date can be between January 2025 and following year 2026.
• Budget £1000 to £1500 depending on the value for money.
• Avoid rain and extreme temperatures.
• 2 days in Colombo to do shopping and visit colleagues to hand over gifts from the UK
• 7 days anywhere good for bus tours, landmarks, temples, gyms, shopping malls, souvenirs, nice views, great photography content, internet access.
• I do not want to drive.
• I’d like a moment to travel on some trains with good scenery for taking photos
• I like reading books and relaxing in the evenings. Are there any books about Sri Lanka I should read?
