Description:
We need an experienced professional to migrate our lightweight WordPress website from an old CentOS-based server to four new Rocky Linux servers configured for high availability. Two servers will act as replicas, ensuring that changes made on these servers are automatically reflected on the other two. The task involves transferring files, configuring the WordPress site, and setting up replication for data synchronization across all four servers.
Scope of Work:
1. Setup on First Server:
- Transfer WordPress files from the old CentOS server to the first Rocky Linux server (approx. 10 minutes).
- Configure WordPress with the database connection details (no DB migration needed).
- Set up high availability configurations like load balancing and failover.
2. Replication and Setup on All Servers:
- Set up two servers as replicas, ensuring automatic synchronization of changes (files, configurations) across all four Rocky Linux servers.
- Replicate the WordPress configuration to all servers, ensuring they are synchronized and ready for high availability.
3. Website Activation:
- Make the website live on all four servers, ensuring it’s accessible and synchronized.
4. Final Testing:
- Verify the site functions across all servers with load balancing, failover, and data synchronization in place.
Requirements:
- Expertise in WordPress, LAMP stack, high availability, and server replication.
- Experience with migration from CentOS to Rocky Linux and synchronization techniques.
- Knowledge of load balancing, failover, and replication setups for high availability.
- Ability to work collaboratively via screen-sharing for troubleshooting.
- Ability to complete the project within the agreed timeline.
