Claire Pearce left the university of Oxford last year and is now enjoying the bright lights of London, where she is working as a graduate trainee with an internet company.

Having made the transition from student to career woman, Claire, 22, is keen to initiate a similar transformation of her finances. She has set herself some long-term financial goals and is looking for expert advice on how to achieve them.

Claire is sharing a flat in Bermondsey, southeast London, for which she pays £650 a month in rent. Her first priority is to save for a deposit on a flat of her own, though she admits that this may prove a struggle for someone whose leisure interests are sport, socialising and shopping.
