Omshanti's Thoughts
By omshantithis is easy and creamy, i m guessing adding your favorite seasonings to it would make it all the more tastey and original but i came in today after getting soaking wet and wanted something warm and creamy and this was it! the avo when well mixed turns all creamy and nice…a cheesey flavor could be achieved with nutritional yeast im sure… yum

This sounds so rich and tasty! I still cannot for the life of me find kelp noodles here in southern maryland. Does anyone have a hint as to a location of this kelp noodle?

Aren't the kelp noodles interesting? They are one of my favorite foods right now. When you warm them, do they get less crunchy? You must have a cleaner palate than mine. lol I made something similar last night but I threw in the kitchen sink... I had couple of handfuls of kelp noodles, shredded spinach, avo, raisins, crimini mushrooms, pearl tomatoes, crumbled flax & soy tortilla chips, freshly ground pepper, Italian seasoning, balsamic vinegar, and Uni Oil. :)

yumm..I just ate this, but instead of oil I pureed a tomato. With nutritional yeast, it is slightly reminiscent of spaghetti. I wrapped a couple spoonfuls in romaine leaves, also tasty!

harmonylia, the company is called sea tangle , i ordered it by the case through my local whole foods store called sprouts, but you can order directly from them via the web and the noodles stay good for several months( mine through march and i bought them a few weeks ago) i lived in hereford maryland by baltimore for 11 years, before moving to san diego 7 years ago.....i miss crab season not that i could enjoy them now.... oh yeah and if you cant find a kelp noodle just make vegies noodles out of zuccinni or parsnip and carrot or eggplant, i mix these in with the kelp for more interesting dishes
Blue, your dish sounds devine!!! I rinse them to heat them up and to get a sometimes musty smell off of them...to soften them toss with oil and dehydrate for an hour or so, i found this out when i made pesto. i mixed them with the pesto and left them in the dehydrator while fixing my husbands "real" pesto( grin) when i tried to heat them with out coating them first they got really crunchy!!! teehee
