The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) delivers world-class medicine while plotting the future of health care. With 4,500 students, 21,000 employees, and 2.1 million patient visits each year, CU Anschutz is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region and an economic anchor in the community. Major gifts from The Anschutz Foundation enabled University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), the CU School of Medicine, and Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) to relocate to a single campus east of Denver. The consolidation of health care capabilities and development to a single campus has resulted in state-of-the-art health care to benefit patients and the Colorado economy.

CU Anschutz stands out as one of the few campuses in the country offering an exceptional academic medical center and two nationally recognized best hospitals. It is the foundation’s goal that the campus continues to be the place where medical education, research, and patient care work seamlessly together to change the world of medicine and health care including mental health in Colorado and beyond.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver operates 27 Clubs and one residential summer camp open to kids ages five through 18. The Boys & Girls Club received a grant from The Anschutz Foundation to establish the Nancy P. Anschutz Center in a historic Denver neighborhood a decade ago. This partnership has continued, since the doors of the Club opened, and ensures that every day kids in the Northeast Park Hill community have a safe, fun and engaging place to go after school and in the summer months. The Club provides programs to young people in the area, providing a place for them to learn, grow, and succeed in life. The Club serves more than 200 registered members and is part of a renovated campus that also includes a community recreation center and library.
