With another week in the books, the Big Bend saw some standout performances.

From soccer to basketball, a handful of athletes stood out among the rest and have earned their way onto this week's Big Bend Preps Athlete of the Week ballot.

The Tallahassee Democrat/Big Bend Preps runs an Athlete of the Week contest every week, recognizing one standout high school athlete out of five nominees. Voting for AotW opens on Monday and closes on Thursday.

The Athlete of the Week will be announced at noon on Friday.

Here are this week's nominees.

Tj Baker, Florida High boys basketball - In a critical end of the regular season game against Godby, Baker was an unexpected X-factor that stepped up and just about won the matchup for the Seminoles. He scored 29 points, smashing his previous season-high 15.

Isaiah Batts, Godby boys basketball - It was a showdown in north Tallahassee on Wednesday as Maclay and Godby combined for 181 points in a 92-89 victory for the Cougars. Leading that charge was Batts, who dropped an impressive 35 points, making eight 3-pointers. The margin tops his past season-high by 15 points.

Caleb Bryant, Florida A&M DRS boys basketball - Despite the loss against Gadsden County, Bryant's efforts can't go unnoticed. The senior has been a scoring force all year for the Rattlers and stepped up big time against the Jaguars, dropping 36 points. It's the second time this season Bryant has broken the 30 point margin in a game.

Mckenzi Lyons, Rickards girls basketball - A lot of Rickards' offense has run through Jakiyah Robinson, but against Choctawhatchee in district semifinals, it was Lyons racking up the points. In the clutch win to send the Raiders to yet another district championship game, she scored a career-high 28 points.

Janiyah McKnight, Madison County girls basketball - When McKnight is on, she's on. The sophomore has looked unstoppable this postseason for Madison County, rattling off three straight 20-plus point games, earning the Cowgirls a district championship. She dropped 22 against Hamilton County, 23 against Taylor County, and 26 against Lafayette.

Laniyah Gennie, Florida High girls basketball - Florida High has been making an effort to add some depth to its scoring core and Gennie has stepped up as the No. 3 weapon for the Seminoles. In district wins over Pensacola Catholic and Walton, Gennie scored 14 points against PC and 15 against Walton.

Ryan Daunt, Maclay boys soccer - The Marauders senior captain had a big week at districts, helping Maclay to its first 3A district title and extending a long program streak. Daunt had two goals against Marianna in the semifinals and a goal and an assist in the championship game against Florida High.

Cade Swart, Chiles boys soccer - The Chiles sophomore finds his way back onto the AotW ballot after a stellar performance in the 6A District 1 championship game. In an electric 3-0 win over Buchholz, Swart scored twice. It's his seventh multi-goal game of the year.

Hayden Wysocki, St. John Paul II boys soccer - St. John Paul II won its first boys district soccer championship and Wysocki was the one who came up clutch in the title game. Both off of PKs, Wysoki buried both shots to give JPII the historic 2-0 win over Lafayette.

Grace Reichelderfer, Maclay girls soccer - Big-time games come with big-time performances and Reichelderfer did just that for Maclay. Tied 1-1 at halftime, and already recording her first goal of the game, Reichelderfer netted two more quick goals for a hat trick. She nearly had a fourth and helped Maclay to a district championship over Florida High, 3-1.
