SMART Field Trip Program

SMART offers a Field Trip Program for local students and educators. For school groups who participate in this program, students ride free and adults pay regular fare.

Program Details

• Students ride free, adults pay regular fares.
• Group size on Trips 4, 6, 11, 28, and 30 is limited to 20 riders. For groups larger than this, please reach out via the form to ensure there will be trip capacity.
• Trips must be pre-arranged with SMART staff to ensure capacity and establish a point of contact for support.
• SMART staff can offer support to the teachers with trip planning.
• Teachers must pickup field trip passes to distribute to the students prior to the trip as proof of participation onboard the train.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip for you and your class, SMART will provide Train Safety Guidelines and Code of Conduct to review with your students before your trip.

Additionally, SMART can offer a train safety presentation to your school for groups of 50 or more. Please submit your request in the inquiry form above, and our outreach team will coordinate with you to schedule a presenter based on availability.
