Get Outside! Fitness Programs at Shelby Farms Park offer a chance for the whole family to get fit, stay active and enjoy being in nature! Beginners are welcome!

Classes are free, but registration is required.  

2024 Classes

Vinyassa Yoga (adult class)
9 am Saturday

This Vinyasa style yoga class is dedicated to creating a balanced mind, body and spirit. It is perfect for all levels, from people new to yoga, for students who want to reconnect with their fundamentals, or everything in between. Modifications will be given to create a safe and fun yoga practice for all. These classes will challenge you to focus on your mind, body and breath. Be sure to bring your mat, water and towel.

Kid's Yoga
1 pm Sunday

Come stretch, breathe, move, dance, relax, create and have FUN! These classes will include age-appropriate yoga and movement for ages 5 through 14- including breathing, poses, games, stories, music, relaxation, meditation and more. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Mental Fitness  
10:30 am Saturday

This class offers a well-deserved break where you will clear your mind through calming breathing and guided meditation. You will learn to relax your mind and prepare it to enter a meditative state by balancing the right and left hemispheres of the brain. You will be trained to overcome negative patterns using your breath and meditation. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Les Mills BODYCOMBAT
6 pm Monday
8 am Wednesday
8 am Saturday
BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

HIIT Bootcamp
6 pm Wednesday

This fitness class is a combination of strength training and conditioning designed to increase power, muscular endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and coordination while building muscle and burning fat. Equipment such as medicine balls, resistance bands and weight bars are used to target each participant’s ability. A skilled instructor and upbeat music will help motivate you to push to a higher level of fitness.

Functional Fitness for Older Adults 
9 am Thursday
If you are looking for a class that does a bit of everything, this is for you! It is a combination of strength training and conditioning designed to increase power, muscular endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and coordination while building muscle and burning fat. It is targeted to older adults, but anyone 18 or older is welcome. Please bring two water bottles or two small hand weights to aid your training experience.

Mat Pilates
8am Mondays in July + August
10 am every Thursday 

Experience a low-impact yet challenging workout that enhances your mind-body connection. Pilates will help lengthen and strengthen your core muscles, and create space for mental clarity and awareness with a class that is safe and effective for any age, and inclusive to everybody. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Kidokinetics
5 pm every Wednesday

Flow Yoga (adult class)
6 PM every Thursday
A fun, dynamic and creative vinyasa flow class suitable for yogis of all ages. Expect to sweat in this class blending breathing and flowing yoga movements set to great music, with a beautiful guided relaxation/meditation at the end. This class will help you let go of stress - a complete mind-body experience!
