Bring Your Own Boat

Non-motorized boats are allowed on all lakes, but not all lakes are easily accessed.  Pine Lake, Beaver Lake and Chickasaw Lake (in that order) have the easiest access.  Off-road driving is not permitted, even if pulling a boat to launch in the water. 

A boat launch ramp is located on the north edge of Hyde Lake just off Great View Drive North. Motorized watercraft are not permitted, but kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, sailboats and other personal watercraft (14 feet or less) are encouraged.

A few reminders:

• No swimming or wading
• All boats, including canoes and kayaks, must be equipped with one wearable personal flotation device for each person on board.  All persons 12 years or under are required to wear a personal flotation device. According to TWRA regulations, those not following this requirement may be subject to a fine.
• No coolers, please
