Cruising through Shelby Farms Park's paved trails on a bicycle is a great way explore and get moving! No bike? No problem! If you need a set of wheels to hit the trail, we can help! Rental bikes are available for kids and adults, and add-on bike trailers are available to get the whole family in on the fun!
Proceeds from your rentals help support Shelby Farms Park and Shelby Farms Greenline!
Notes:
Renters must provide a valid driver's license or government issued ID, but riders can be any age.
A helmet is included with each rental, and ages 16 and under must wear their helmet while riding.

BIKE RENTAL FAQ
Which bike is right for me? Do I need a trailer?
Step-Through Bike:
Small: 26" - 30" inseam
Medium: 30.5" - 32.5" inseam
Diamond Bike:
Medium: 30.5" - 32.5" inseam
Large: 33" - 36" inseam
Child Bikes accommodate 20" and under inseam
Trailer: Fits 1-2 small children up to 100lb total capacity

Customers may receive a full refund or credit **if notice of date change or cancellation is more than 24 hours** before start time. If less than 24 hours, no refunds or exchanges. Customers may receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Thank you for giving us as much notice as possible if you have to reschedule your reservation so we may rent the bike that was being held for you to another visitor.
What if I’m late for my reservation time?
We will do our best to accommodate you and find another reservation time slot for you based on the current availability of bikes.
If you are 20 minutes beyond your reservation time, this will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.
If I miss my reservation, may I get a refund?
We are unable to issue refunds for missed reservation times.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
In the event of inclement weather (lightning strikes in the area or high winds that are prohibitive for riding) , our rental locations will close until the area is clear of lightning for 45 minutes or until prohibitive wind conditions subside. Customers with reservations within these time frames will be contacted by the Shelby Farms Park retail team to reschedule for a later time or later date. If closure affects a future reservation for the day, customers will be contacted by a member of Shelby Farms Park’s retail management team.
explore bike share ebikes
Shelby Farms Park is home to the city's first and only eBike fleet. We’ve partnered with Explore Bike Share to bring pedal-assist eBikes to the Park. The electric bikes, powered by Bosch, use an electric motor and battery to help bike share users power their bike ride. On pedal assist eBikes, the assist only kicks in when pedaling. The motor amplifies the power behind each pedal stroke, providing a natural riding feeling. Stations are located at the First Horizon Foundation Visitor Center and at the S. Hyde Lake parking lot and bikes can be reserved through the Explore Bike Share app.
