Formed in 1979, our organization has grown to house two choruses, Seattle Men’s Chorus and Seattle Women’s Chorus. We are Washington State’s largest and most influential choral organization. We are among the largest community choruses in North America.
Our voices transform society through innovative and entertaining programs that build community, illuminate the experiences of LGBTQ people and their allies, expand inclusion, and inspire justice.
Members of the choruses are representative of the large community in which we live. Members range in age, race, gender-identity, sexuality, profession, background, and outside interests. Members share a common vision—a more harmonious world that celebrates the unique identities and talents of all people.
SMC and SWC are rooted in Seattle’s LGBTQ community and are proud members of GALA Choruses, the leading association committed to serving the LGBTQ choral movement. We welcome anyone who is a member or ally of the community.

Singers pay dues, with a scholarship program available that allows participation regardless of financial ability.
Singing members donate more than 63,000 volunteer hours per year.
We do not currently offer advertising opportunities; however, we do offer corporate sponsorship opportunities, which include many ways to reach our chorus members and patron base. To learn more about becoming a sponsor, please visit our Sponsor page.
