"Circumcision is a surgical/medical procedure used to treat medical conditions like phimosis, balanitis, or paraphimosis by surgically removing the skin covering the tip of the penis (Foreskin).
Circumcision is indicated in the following conditions:
* Balanitis (swelling of the head of the penis)
* Paraphimosis (restriction of the blood flow to the end of the penis)
* Phimosis (unable to pull back the foreskin)
* Balanoposthitis (inflammation of the foreskin and penile tip)"

"Some of the advantages of Circumcision are:
* Restricted blood flow to the tip of the penis due to narrow foreskin (Paraphimosis)
* Infections under the foreskin
* To decrease the risk of penile cancer, urinary tract infections or sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea, etc)"
3. What is the required preparation for Circumcision?
"* Inform the doctor regarding present and past medical and medication history.
* Health status of the patient may be evaluated before undergoing this surgery/procedure.
* Discuss with the doctor about risks, complications, and benefits associated with Circumcision"
4. What are the steps included in the Circumcision?
"Circumcision includes the following steps:
* The genital area will be cleaned and sterile cloths will be used to prepare the patient for surgery.
* And numbed using either local, general or regional anesthesia.
* The foreskin will be retracted to its original position and cut by incisions made on the foreskin on the upper, lower and side incisions and removed and foreskin edges and blood vessels will be closed with sutures or surgical gum and dressed with sterile bandages."

"The patient must follow a few pieces of advice suggested by the doctor after circumcision like:
* Use pain killer medicines as recommended by the doctor.
* Prefer to wear loose-fitting garments until the surgical incisions heal."
