The Pasadena Crime Control and Prevention District (CCD) was created in November of 1998, and voters also adopted the proposed sales and use tax rate of one-half of one percent (1/2 cents). Revenue from the ½ cent sales tax serves a role in providing the necessary resources to effectively implement crime reduction strategies pertaining to enhanced enforcement, neighborhood crime prevention, partner programs, recruitment and training, and department equipment, technology, and infrastructure.
