His Story: 

Councilman Emmanuel Guerrero was born in Pasadena, Texas, in 1996. Emmanuel Guerrero is a proud product raised by a single mother. He is the eldest brother of 5 siblings, 3 of whom are the products of Pasadena High School. He is a First-Generation college graduate from the University of Houston’s Bauer Business School, obtaining a double Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing in 3 years. Emmanuel worked many sales jobs and services jobs while obtaining his Bachelor Degrees at the University of Houston from 2015-2018, maintaining 2 jobs while attending school full time.  
Throughout his professional career, he has worked at 2 Fortunate 100 food companies analyzing sales trends, examining country-wide brand growth, leading brand and product development, analyzing distribution expansions and limitations, and developing market penetration strategies. 
Emmanuel has also worked for a Fortune 100 Oil & Gas company in the accounting department, where he oversaw all accounts in Latin America, solved pricing and volume discrepancies across various countries, and helped lead account auditing, reconciliation, and alignment efforts across various countries.  
Currently, he works for a consulting firm specializing in disaster relief, emergency response, economic development, grant management, and compliance and review. He serves as the youngest manager in the firm's history, being promoted at the age of 24. In this role, he has assisted in overseeing, managing, and distributing over $400million in ARPA, CARE, and ERA federal funds.

•Youngest HOA president elected to serve as Willow Oaks Townhouse Community and unanimously elected to his 2nd term.

Involvement: 

•Mentors 1st generation students at the University of Houston's Hispanic BusinessStudents Association (HBSA)
•Mentors students at the University of Houston-Downtown’s Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA)
•Serves as a volunteer business consultant for the University of Houston's SURE program. A program develop to provide business resources from community members from the surrounding areas predominantly 3rd ward, who lack the resources to create their very own businesses the program stand for StimulateUrban Renewal through Entrepreneurship (SURE)
•Has served on the Harris County Appraisal Review Board.
•Has served on the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)Houston Chapter, Board of Directors.
•Has served on the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)National Scholarship committee, reviewing applications from students across the county and awarding various scholarships.
•Elected to serve as the Willow Oaks Townhouse Community HOA president and unanimously elected to his 2nd term where the community has been greatly revitalized.
•Volunteer of The Bridge over troubled water, a shelter for woman and children escaping domestic and sexual abuse. Where he has conducted toy drives and other events for resident.
•A member of the League of United Latino American Citizens (LULAC) where his volunteering efforts have helped re-develop Latino communities and bring awareness to social-economic and political issues impacting Latino communities.
•Is member of the University of Houston Hispanic Alumni Association where he has helped raise and support funds for scholarship given to University of Houston students yearly.
