Mission Statement
To operate and maintain city owned water storage facilities, well and water metering stations, including the daily monitoring of water quality and quantity in order to protect public health in compliance with all regulatory requirements. In addition, the division reports to governmental agency’s having jurisdiction over public water systems.
General Overview
The Water Production Division maintains approximately 8 ground storage tanks, 9 elevated storage tanks, 7 water wells, and 5 water metering stations throughout the City. The division also monitors the water quality by collecting samples at various locations and analyzing them at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) accredited laboratories.
