The Traffic Unit is under the direct command of Lieutenant Gene Spiller. It is supervised by Sergeants Mark Shirley and Scott Simpson. It is comprised of motorcycle officers and advanced crash investigators. In addition to traffic enforcement, the traffic unit responds to calls for service and provides traffic control for many community events.
