The Oracle Cloud migration marks a significant step toward establishing a unified digital healthcare ecosystem, dismantling data silos, and enhancing data analytics capabilities for our physicians to enable more attention to patient care. This also aligns with our strategy to use innovative technologies such as AI to deliver world-class healthcare services.

Linus ThamGroup Chief Information Officer, IHH Healthcare

Headquartered in Singapore, IHH is one of world’s leading healthcare providers. It operates more than 80 hospitals in 10 countries, including key markets of Malaysia, Singapore, Türkiye, India, and Greater China and beyond. IHH had disparate IT systems and needed a robust database platform to manage and secure massive amounts of data and use it to improve patient outcomes. The company chose to migrate its core application workloads, including electronic medical records, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Exadata Database Service to support its data warehouse and laboratory information systems and unify data across its healthcare ecosystem. IHH Malaysia also consolidated and moved its critical database workloads to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer to meet stringent data residency and compliance requirements. With Oracle, the company reduced the time required to produce monthly performance reports from days to hours and simplified data management, leading to improved performance, productivity, and experiences for both patients and clinicians.
