These are very easy to install and hold quite well in Drywall. If fastened only into the drywall, they will work loose if items are constantly being secured and detached. For seasonal items they work very well. And they are easy to remove and relocate. Ideally they should be secured into the studs as well. Do not exceed the weight limits. I use these to hang snow shoes, ladder, hoses, bicycle tires and storing roof racks in the winter

My wife wanted large hooks on the side walls of her closet, on which to hang clothing on hangers. Typical clothes hooks were much to small. She wanted to put lots of hangers on them.

These hooks were perfect for the application. I used one on each side of the closet.

I installed them with a hand screw driver on hollow dry wall. They attached effortlessly and feel very secure. Very deep threads for strongly gripping drywall without stripping.

Note that each hook is rated for 20 lbs. when used in a hollow drywall application. (40 lbs. for a pair of hooks used together).

Read the other reviews first and so used my own nails instead of theirs. Went to Lowes and they showed me the anchors and screws I could use and recommended two sets of washers. The washers are b/c the screws don't fit perfectly into the very large holes of the hook. I marked the holes, drilled holes, put in the anchors, then screwed in the screws with the washers. Holds up wonderfully and not that painful to install for even a novice

very strong ladder hooks (2 hooks per pack), just the right depth to hang one ladder. While the local big box stores carried ladder hangers, they were about 12 inches deep and stuck out too far from the wall to walk past. For people with more room and more than one ladder to hang, the deeper hooks might work ok although you will always have to take down the outside ladder when trying to get down the inside ladder. These ladder hooks come with wall board anchors and screws, but I used longer screws and mounted them directly into the studs for greater stability. Great product that I would highly recommend.

The bracket it self seems sturdy enough to hold my ladder. I have a sliding fiberglass ladder that when closed is about 12' long (so maybe 18 or 20' when extended). The included screws are short and abnormally wide. This and the number of fasteners per bracket (3), tell me that the fastening system was designed to connect to drywall only. The included fasteners will attach to bare studs, but won't hit studs well if there is drywall.

My garage has drywall. I would not even consider using the included fasteners to support my ladder. I need the strength from the stud. So I bought four (two per bracket) 1/2" x 2" lag screws. This is overkill for the brackets, however the holes in the bracket are 1/2" wide due to the abnormally wide screws that are included. So if I tried to use a more appropriate sized screw for the load (e.g. 1/4" x 2"), it would have too much play in the fastening hole. Be sure to pre-drill.
