Standards.gov is your pathway to standards information. The NIST Standards Coordination Office advances the development, adoption, and use of technical standards, conformity assessment, laboratory accreditation, and quality management systems to promote U.S. innovation and international trade through cross-laboratory, interagency, private sector, and international partnerships.

The NIST Standards Coordination Office Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program (SCO CD CAP) is seeking applications from eligible U.S. colleges and universities to develop undergraduate and graduate curricula to incorporate documentary standards, standards development, and standardization information and content into seminars, modules, courses, and learning resources. The Notice of Federal Funding Opportunity (NOFO) announcing the FY25 Program was released on January 14, 2025. Eligible applicants may apply for awards of up to $100,000 to integrate standards education into undergraduate or graduate-level courses. 

The deadline to submit a proposal is April 14, 2025.

New IEC/ISO Joint Technical Committee on Quantum Technologies—Inviting Participants for the U.S. National Committee Technical Advisory Group

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have approved the formation of a new Joint Technical Committee (JTC) on Quantum Technologies, managed by the British Standards Institution (BSI) as Secretariat and chaired by a representative of the Republic of Korea.  More information
