Repay and manage benefit money you owe
This service is for Northern Ireland customers only.
You can use the repay and manage benefit money you owe service if either of the two options below apply.
1. You are currently claiming Universal Credit and you have verified your identity through the Online Identity and Verification service (OIDV) when registering.
You can use this service to:
- view details of how much you owe
- view a breakdown of your deductions
- complete an income and expenditure review to help decide how much you can afford to repay
- find help and support for repaying what you owe
or
2. You have recently stopped claiming benefits and have received an invitation letter from the Department for Communities.
You can use this service to:
- view a breakdown of money you owe
- set up regular monthly payments
- manage an existing Direct Debit or flexible payment plan
- make additional payments
- pay back what you owe in full
- get help and support in dealing with the money you owe
You can also register to verify your identity through the Online Identity and Verification (OIDV) service.

If you want to make a payment through the service, you'll need a debit or credit card. Your bank may charge you interest if you pay by credit card.
