I'm looking for a skilled web developer to help migrate my website from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5. This project is primarily focused on the migration process, with some adjustments to the header and footer layouts.
I am seeking an experienced Joomla developer to assist with migrating our website from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5. The project involves several key tasks, including customizing the header and footer, implementing accessibility features, and managing articles with a suitable alternative to K2. Additionally, specific feedback mechanisms need to be integrated.
Project Details:
Migration:
Content Transfer: Migrate all content (articles, categories, etc.) from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5.
Extension Migration: Install and configure the same paid extensions currently used in Joomla 3. A list of these extensions will be provided.
Customization:
Header: Update the header to match the style provided in the attached HTML template. Ensure the header is transparent and styled according to the design specifications.
Footer: Modify the footer to align with the new design. Ensure consistency with the updated header.
Accessibility Features:
Re-implement accessibility functionalities that are currently active in Joomla 3. Specifically, ensure compliance with the following using the WAVE extension:
Errors
Contrast Errors
Alerts
Features
Structural Elements
ARIA
Article Management:
K2 Replacement: Since K2 is not available for Joomla 5, find and implement an alternative article manager with similar functionalities. If no suitable replacement is found, use Joomla’s default article manager.
Content Feedback: Implement a “Do you find this content helpful? Yes or No” feature on all articles.
If the user selects Yes, display a message: “Thank you for your feedback.”
If the user selects No, display an RSForm form for feedback, allowing users to provide detailed input if they wish.
Design Implementation:
Use the provided PDF design document as a reference for styling and layout.
Utilize the Joomshaper Page Builder component to ensure that the design and functionality meet the requirements.
Template:
Choose a Joomshaper template that fits the project requirements and customize it as needed. Ensure that the template aligns with the design provided and supports the required functionalities.
Requirements:
Experience with Joomla 3 and Joomla 5.
Proficiency with Joomshaper Page Builder.
Ability to customize templates and implement design changes.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards and practices, particularly using the WAVE extension.
Experience with article managers and finding suitable replacements for K2.
Familiarity with RSForm or similar form extensions for Joomla.
Deliverables:
A fully migrated Joomla 5 site with all content, extensions, and functionalities from Joomla 3.
