Description:
We are looking for an experienced industrial designer or mechanical engineer to help design a custom computer case, a proprietary screw called "heptalobe," and a custom motherboard for Tiny Computers. The goal is to create a unique and functional design for all components, including a custom motherboard with DDR4 memory support, proprietary screws, and optimized internal layouts, while ensuring performance, thermal management, and aesthetics.
Key Deliverables:
1. Custom Computer Design:
2. Include advanced cooling solutions such as liquid cooling integration or heat pipes for optimal thermal management.
3. Design customizable side panels with options for perforated metal, or other aesthetic materials.
4. Add removable and washable dust filters to protect internal components from dust and debris.
5. Include sturdy and ergonomic carry handles for easy transportation of the computer case.
A sleek, functional, and ergonomic computer chassis with proper airflow and cooling design.
Internal layout optimized for components such as AMD-based CPU, Nvidia GPU, DDR4 RAM, motherboard, PSU, and storage drives.
Attention to cable management, thermal optimization, and overall aesthetic appeal.
Design should ensure a compact and efficient use of internal space, while allowing for easy upgrades and maintenance.
2. Custom Motherboard Design:
A proprietary motherboard design tailored for Tiny Computers.
Layout optimized for AMD-based CPU, Nvidia GPU, DDR4 RAM, and essential components such as storage and expansion slots.
Considerations for power distribution, signal routing, and thermal management.
PCB design, including schematic and layout, for manufacturing.
Integrate necessary connectors for peripherals (USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc.).
3. Heptalobe Screw and Matching Driver:
A unique screw head design with seven symmetrical lobes, similar to Apple’s pentalobe screws, but with a distinct, proprietary design.
A matching screwdriver design that is ergonomic and compatible with the heptalobe screw.
CAD files ready for prototyping and manufacturing.
Requirements:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, FreeCAD) for 3D modeling and design.
Experience in designing custom hardware like computers, motherboards, or other electronics.
Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, 3D printing, PCB fabrication).
Strong portfolio showcasing previous hardware designs, particularly in consumer electronics.
Ability to collaborate and iterate based on feedback.
Familiarity with AMD-based CPUs, Nvidia GPUs, and DDR4 memory, as well as their integration on custom motherboards, is a plus.

The design must be manufacturable and cost-effective for production.
Creativity, precision, and attention to detail are essential for this project.
The designer must be open to revisions based on feedback and work closely with our team to ensure the final design meets all functional and aesthetic requirements.
The freelancer should provide full prototyping support including sourcing materials and assembly. The computer case should follow standard or mid-tower size dimensions to accommodate a wide range of components. The computer case should have a retro and vintage aesthetic style. The deliverables should include detailed manufacturing specifications and all necessary documentation for production.
