You are hosted in a luminous and spacious room (35 m2) with a splendid view, overlooking the harbor of old Amsterdam. It is situated 10 minutes from Central station on the waterfront of the old town. The room is fully equipped and beautifully decorated in a modern yet cozy style. The room provides you with all you need for a joyful stay in Amsterdam. It is equipped with a Super King size bed, a seating area with two comfortable armchairs, a lovely table to enjoy your breakfast and there is free access to internet.
The view from the room is amazing. You will look over the old harbor where wood was traded and stored. It is still in use by houseboats and vessels and there is still a lot of activity going on. You might see the cruise ships passing by. You will enjoy the most beautiful sunsets.
In the breakfast area you will find a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and an electric kettle. The fridge is filled with all you need to make yourself a wonderful breakfast.
The shared bathroom features a double shower along with a double basin and for your comfort a deluxe set of towels. The toilet is separate. If needed you may use the washing machine which is situated in a storage room.
The room makes part of the two-storey apartment where I live, at the fourth and fifth floor of a small modern apartment building. Although in the city-centre, the room (with its own key) is very quiet because it is situated on the edge of the water. I will be there when you arrive. We can communicate through E-mail and telephone. Even so during your stay, for whatever questions you may have. You can always contact me.
There are supermarkets nearby, many great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood and other small shops just a bit further down the road. The room is located in a quiet part of the centre of Amsterdam.
A 10 minute bike ride takes you to the Dam square and the gay-area. Bus 48 brings you in 3 minutes to Central Station. Tram 3 brings you to Vondelpark, Stedelijk Museum and Rijksmuseum. Traveling from and to the airport is very easy. Within approximately 30 minutes you can get from the airport right to the front of the door.
