Puerto Vallarta Pride

Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride first started in 2011, but despite its relatively new presence it continues to offer a full and very impressive program of events lined up for the whole LGBTQ community and it’s the largest LGBTQ Pride event in the region. Puerto Vallarta is recognized worldwide as an LGBTQ mecca, hosting national and international gay visitors. It makes perfect sense then that the city's annual pride goes off with a bang, and continues to attract both locals and tourists each year who come to celebrate their pride. 

Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride was created to showcase all the unique elements that have made Puerto Vallarta a favorite resort destination of the international gay community. Associations, companies and the entire LGBTQ community have joined together again to organize this event that celebrates the lifestyle diversity of the city. The 8-day event turns the city upside down with loads of pride-related revelry, keeping everyone more than entertained. The highlight is arguably the impressive Pride Parade, which usually takes place on the last weekend of Puerto Vallarta Pride. On top of this, there are loads of other attractions filling the 8-day program, including arts and culture events, concerts, entertainment, circuit-style parties, films, fun and lots of partying. Phew! Talk about packing it in for Pride! 

Puerto Vallarta has truly cemented itself as an LGBTQ hotspot, which is particularly popular for gay and lesbian travelers flocking from The US and Canada. During Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride, the LGBTQ flame burns bright, but at any other time of the year, you can experience much of the city's gay life in the Zona Romántica neighborhood, which is jam-packed with gay bars, restaurants, and gay clubs. During Vallarta Pride, plenty of celebrations take place in and around Zona Romántica, so be sure to pencil in an afternoon drink at one of the many bars, and experience your pride in Puerto Vallarta like a gay local.
