Michigan’s participation in the Defending Childhood State Policy Initiative was also a catalyst for creating this site. Supported by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and staffed by Policy Research Associates, Inc., the Defending Childhood State Policy Initiative provides technical assistance to states in support of efforts to improve child-serving system responses to children experiencing trauma as a result of their exposure to violence.
