Entry-Level Job Market: Challenges and Opportunities in 2024

Despite a generally strong job market for college-educated workers, recent graduates are encountering a "white-collar hiring rut," with a significant 11.2% decline in entry-level job postings since Q1 2021. This drop has been particularly severe between 2022 and 2023, with a 38% drop, causing many new graduates to struggle to find suitable employment.

However, there’s a silver lining. In 2024, there has been a slight rebound in entry-level job postings, offering hope for new graduates. Certain industries, like higher education, Government, and Retail, remain resilient, providing opportunities for those entering the workforce.
