This zepp.solutions Y50 hydrogen fuel cell system is now in its final phase of validation at our RDM Rotterdam testing facilities. Here, it will be subject to the load cycles that it will encounter in its operational life. When these tests are successfully completed, the system will be dispatched to Dynell GmbH for integration into a hydrogen-powered Ground Power Unit (GPU). This innovative H-GPU will be used by KLM Equipment Services B.V. at Schiphol to supply electricity to an aircraft when it's stationary on the ground. Unlike the common diesel-powered systems, no CO2, (ultra)fine particle and nitrogen emissions will be produced. The demonstration within the TULIPS – Green Airports project is expected to kick off in mid-2024. #hydrogen #fuelcell #technology

🛫 Getting ready for takeoff – with sustainable aviation fuel. We are on a mission to fly without negative CO2-impact – together with our fellow climate pioneer Synhelion. We share the goal of transforming the transportation sector in a sustainable way, enabling everyone to fly with no additional #CO2 combusted into the atmosphere. And we moved one step closer to this goal: ⛽Our Gas-to-Liquid plant arrived safe and sound at our costumer’s site in Germany. After its installation, the necessary tests for commissioning the plant were successfully completed by our operating engineers and the plant was handed over to Synhelion. It is now ready to transform syngas into sustainable fuel! 🔆 Here's how it works: Synhelion's innovative technology uses solar energy to convert CO2 and water into syngas. In the plant we delivered, this syngas is converted into liquid fuels, mainly for airplanes. Read more via the link in the comments! #NextEra #SustainableAviation

The European Union's ambitious targets for reducing emissions are setting the stage for hydrogen to become a cornerstone of sustainable road freight. In a new piece, ARCH2 Project Development Partner Air Liquide explores the shift towards hydrogen powered-transportation and the challenges facing the sector. From China's thousands of hydrogen trucks and buses to the deployment of hydrogen taxis in Paris, the industry is moving beyond the prototype stage. Major truck manufacturers globally are now embracing hydrogen technology, with Daimler, IVECO, and Hyundai leading the charge. These developments promise not just environmental benefits but practical advantages for transport operators, including quick refueling times and extended range without impacting payload. As the sector evolves, Air Liquide's comprehensive approach, covering the entire hydrogen value chain, aims to accelerate this transition. With investments in low-carbon hydrogen production and partnerships focusing on technological advancements, they are paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient road transport ecosystem. #HydrogenPower #SustainableTransport #Innovation #AirLiquide #FutureOfTransport

Helping businesses and brands become recognized for their best💡Head of Communications 🌍 Passionate about creating change, encouraging everyone to enter the green energy sector.
Every technology has its strengths and weaknesses, and hydrogen fuel cell propulsion is unparalleled in terms of range. Following 🇩🇪 Siemens, 🇫🇷 Alstom and 🇨🇭Stadler —with the Stadler hydrogen train having covered 2,803 kilometers without needing to refuel, a new world record for autonomy-, also the Chinese manufacturer 🇨🇳 CRRC announced a new hydrogen train. Some might question why ⁉️ The huge autonomy combined with the need to decarbonise mobility, and the high investment required to electrify secondary, low-traffic lines, which will never be electrified by lack of funds- makes a compelling case for including a certain number of hydrogen trains in fleets.
