Over 80 #HeavenHillBrands team members and family/friends walked in the #KentuckianaPrideParade this month! The event was sponsored by Heaven Hill's P.R.I.D.E. Employee Resource Group and we were even joined by our partners at Free Mom Hugs. As we close out June, we celebrate with #Pride, not just this month, but all year long!

📌 HR Pros: Don't forget to celebrate every kind of mom in the workplace this Mother's Day! 💐 ⭐ There are bio moms, step moms, foster moms, grand moms, pet moms, moms that you wouldn't know are moms and the list goes on... 💡 The biggest impact we can make is educating everyone on the diversity of caretakers, nurturers and role models whom make up this group of givers. 🫶 Ensure that your messaging, tokens of appreciation or events reflect a culture of inclusivity by inviting self identification (in order to also be sensitive to those who may not want to partake in celebration). Happy Friday... Let's human! 🤗

I hope you all had a lucky St. Patrick’s Day this past weekend wearing your green! 🍀 A lesson in luck from Mort….the pot belly pig. I got this grand idea that Mort was going to help me with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration picture, but EJ (husband, realist, joy-sucker and photographer) did not think Mort would cooperate. And dang it, I hate when he is correct! I put the St. Patty bling on him and he instantly activated “rodeo pig”. You might ask, “what is a rodeo pig?”. Well, it is when the pig runs around as fast as they can while snorting and bucking—it is a sight for sure! So, you might be wondering how I ended up getting this adorable picture? EJ, trying not to bask in the fact that he was right, suggested a treat. In keeping with the St. Patrick’s day theme, he even suggested a green treat of a pear. I noticed that Mort has the same reaction as we do in the workplace when the right incentive is in place. Want a motivated team—find what motivates them. As soon as I had that treat, Mort did an immediate sit, and opened wide for the treat. When we want more from our teams, or even a different output we need to think about if the right incentive is in place. If we are wanting creativity or ideas on a better process, why not have a contest? Everyone comes to the table with their new idea and whoever wins gets the “treat” plus bragging rights! Check back next week for our March blog that talks more about human behavior, and as always, peoplezest is here to help find the perfect candidate to bring your team the luck of the (pig). https://lnkd.in/ezsq4aVb PS…the pigs are really EJ’s pets—yes all THREE! #peoplezest #multifamily #executiverecruiter #studenthousing #leadership #motivationtools #motivation

#inclusionmatters Thank you, Andre Joyner, for sharing... 🌟 Embracing Diversity Through Fashion: A Spotlight on JCPenney's Hope & Wonder 🌟 Today, I'm inspired by JCPenney's remarkable journey with their Hope & Wonder brand, a vibrant testament to the power of diversity and cultural celebration in corporate America. In 2022, JCPenney introduced Hope & Wonder as a brand and a beacon of inclusivity. Seeing their $1 million investment in cultural initiatives that resonate with America's rich tapestry is heartening. This commitment to celebrating diversity through fashion is a shining example for businesses everywhere. The Creative Coalition, led by the trailblazing Valerie Harris, embodies what it means to bring authenticity and representation to the retail space. Their work highlights the importance of seeing one's culture and heritage reflected in our products. It's not just about apparel; it's about identity, community, and shared history. I'm particularly moved by their choice of beneficiaries like Black Girls Smile and Latinitas. These partnerships go beyond monetary support; they build meaningful connections and uplift communities. As a leader in the professional development space, I see JCPenney's approach as a blueprint for how companies can foster an environment of inclusivity and respect. Their efforts align perfectly with the ethos of creating workplaces where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. Their journey underscores a crucial lesson: When companies embrace diversity in words and actions, they don't just change brands; they transform lives. Not all of us can write a letter of appreciation, and not everyone knows how to express their empathy, or show they care with a hug or a smile. Gestures of appreciation are part of our most natural human expression, but perhaps we‘ve forgotten ‘how’. At Woven Bark, we know how! We understand that expressions of thanks, kindness and empathy in the workplace are few and far between, mostly because we’re too busy to pay attention. Let us support your gestures of thanks with a unique corporate gifting experience that says it all. From hand-sourced, locally produced and personally packed gifts to experiential gifts of gathering, where we curate the perfect human experience for your people. Our gifts are more than just a gesture, they’re a journey of gratitude, recognition and team culture. The kind of ‘thank you’ that lasts. Ask us how - connect with michelle@wovenbark.co.za. #WovenBarkStudios #CorporateGifting #MeaningfulConnections #WovenBarkExperience #ISeeYou #CreatingCompanyCulture

Founder & Chief Shepherd | We teach the habits and disciplines that drive early productivity and high retention.
4x Emmy Nominated. Award Winning. 👇🏼👇🏼 If you are one of these two below, STOP NOW. (b/c you are NOT the two above ☝🏼, but Ross Kimball IS and you need to get him on your radar) 1) If you host a podcast. He will be your next best interview!! His stories are amazing! 2) If you are a financial planning firm looking for the best “non-financial” speaker at your next meeting!! WHY HIRE ROSS?!? I have introduced Ross to a number of my clients, and this is what I say… ”You know how almost every firm meeting that you've ever been to has needed that extra pick me up throughout the day... Typically from someone who is not even "in" our industry... You want that amazing speaker to bring some life and energy back into the room... AND at the same time make a massive impact with the group in an immediately practical way! THAT'S WHY I am making this introduction.” PS - Neither Dave Resseguie nor The Resseguie Group receive any compensation for promoting ANY OTHER SPEAKER. PPS - I decline kickbacks of any kinds for referring people. Ross is just “good people” and you should hire him ASAP.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲! - 𝗬𝗮𝘆? 🌈 On Saturday, I went to the #CSD and #pride parade in Berlin. It was an awesome experience and I loved celebrating diversity and inclusion with my friends and the whole, gorgeous crowd! While walking in the parade and dancing to the music of the bypassing trucks, we came upon the question 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦. ➖ On the one hand, I feel that many companies seem hypocritical when they change their company logos to a #rainbow-coloured one for a few weeks, but have a rather conversative appearance the rest of the year. For example, crossing a rainbow truck of a political party that was often against laws for the protection of marginalized groups somehow...feels wrong? ➕ On the other hand, #diversity initiatives are often not just a marketing strategy suggested by some random consultant, but most times driven by employees within the companies - #people who are affected from everyday discrimination. Employees often organize themselves beyond their responsibilities and in their free-time to form groups, schedule trainings, or initate meet-ups. And why should we not cheer for those people, who show their pride, put so much effort in educating and connecting others, and who celebrate diversity on a great day like this? Only because there's a certain company logo on the truck? And even if there is also a marketing aspect included: isn't it great, that there are so many initiatives which were catalyzed through that? That we at least DO celebrate diversity and that we create more awareness by including more trucks and ensuring funding? And that employees feel #safe and #respected at the company they work for and are even willing to represent it at the pride parade? 𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙, 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙤𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. And shouldn't especially this be a safe space where everybody can connect without prejudice - contributing to the notion of 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲? I would be very interested in other opinions weighing in on this topic! Regardless, I enjoyed my very first pride parade where I was not only a spectator but within the whole party! Happy pride to everyone! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

🌈 Embracing the Colors of Diversity: Celebrating Holi with Our Amazing Team! 🎉 As we gear up to paint the town in hues of joy and positivity this Holi, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride for our incredible team. You see, to me, Holi isn't just about splashing colors; it's about celebrating the beautiful tapestry of cultures and backgrounds that make us who we are. Each color on our palette represents a different story, a different tradition, and a different journey, blending together to create something truly remarkable. I'm blessed to work with a team as diverse as the colors of Holi. From vibrant reds to soothing blues, every member brings their unique shade to our canvas, enriching our workplace with their perspectives and experiences. But what truly warms my heart is seeing how our happy, harmonious team comes together, not just to meet deadlines, but to lift each other up, share laughter, and celebrate success. Because let's face it, happy teams make for happy workplaces, and that's something worth smiling about! So here's to our amazing team, whose positivity and camaraderie brighten up even the gloomiest of Mondays. Wishing you all a Holi filled with laughter, love, and lots of colorful memories! Let's keep spreading those good vibes, one color at a time. 🌟 Radial Inc.
