- Knowing your own identity is crucial for a couple of compelling reasons. Firstly, self-awareness enables you to pinpoint STEM roles and careers that harmonize with your unique qualities. Secondly, your own self-awareness is crucial for approaching job applications and interviews with confidence. This is because future employers will formulate their own perception of your suitability. In this video, we will discuss how to achieve this self-awareness effectively. A beneficial starting point is completing one or more of the online assessments, many of which are freely available. Some assessments well suited for STEM careers include, Holland's RAISEC Model, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, O*NET Interest Profiler, StrengthsFinder. Other assessments can also be valuable as 16PF and Insights.
