Musicians Institute is a contemporary school of music located in Hollywood California and Guitar Craft Academy is in Nashville, TN. Guitar Craft Academy teaches students to become luthiers - they learn the in-demand skill of learning how to design, build and repair electric and acoustic guitars. Our students arrive with a passion for music and leave with the practical knowledge, technical skills and hands-on experience that it takes to transform their aspirations into careers. The Admissions Advisor will recruit and interview potential students into a variety of music-related programs preparing them for registration. The qualified individual must possess the ability to achieve enrollment goals under set deadlines.
Expectations:
Meet and exceed established admissions enrollment goals.
Participate in admissions related recruiting events such as: student orientation, open house events, admissions workshops and outreach events.
Demonstrate knowledge of the programs offered by Musicians Institute and required to recruit for the following types of prospective students: Domestic students, international students, correspondence students, high school students, VA students, and under classmen students.
Meet and exceed a minimum start rate from application to start on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications and requirements:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of high-volume admissions recruiting sales experience
Basic understanding of guitars, guitar components, musicianship, and/or contemporary music, is highly preferred.
Possess excellent customer service and professionalism.
Operate within the highest ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of the position.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand and communicate admissions standards and program requirements.
Enjoy dealing with people, and be able to work with a diverse group of students and employees in a positive manner
Must be able to work well under pressure, and multi-task in a busy environment.
Ability to work in an organized and timely fashion on multiple projects simultaneously is needed.
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Ability to effectively and efficiently operate office equipment including telephones, copiers, fax machines, and computers.
Requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to travel to, within and around a variety of locations, both interior and exterior for meetings, events and other job-related activities. Able to work a 40-hour week, plus weekends and evenings as needed.
Education and Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, English, Music Management or Business.
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as a capacity for learning new computer skills and programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
