When it opens in 2026, Southern California's Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will give animals a safe path over the 101 Freeway below. 🦌 To help the critters feel at home, a team from Olsson led by 𝗧𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗴 and 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗻 is working to engineer the unique soil required to support more than 5,000 "hyper-local native shrubs and wildflowers." 🌺 While the crossing is the world's largest of its kind, Ted and Shameem are paying attention to the smallest details. As Ted said, "we've got to have the right microbes in order for these locally sourced seeds to flourish." 🌱 Read more about our work with Caltrans and Rock Design Associates LLC in this Los Angeles Times story by Jeanette E. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁, 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺 𝗱𝗼? Quite a bit. In fact, we are involved in so many areas of expertise that we created a regular session to update each other on our work. 📢 Like a TED Talk, the 𝗢𝗹𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟲𝘅𝟲 features six employees speaking for six minutes on their area of expertise. Topics vary but the theme is consistent: we craft expert solutions and designs that improve communities. Here's what we shared with each other in last month's 6x6: 🌊 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗶𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝘃 simulates the effects of hurricanes to help improve the coastal infrastructure protecting cities and towns. 🌬 𝗗𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆 builds digital wind tunnels that help clients better control the climate inside their data centers. 🌎 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲 consults with communities to develop plans designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and blunt the impact of climate change. 👨🚒 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 works with watershed managers to prepare for the unique hazards that arise after a wildfire, like flooding and mudflows. ⚡ 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 partners with corporations and institutions to solve their power supply challenges by implementing on-site energy solutions. 💻 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘂 designs tools that enable wireless companies to more efficiently bring digital infrastructure to rural communities.

#NorthwestArkansas is home to around 575,000 people. By 2050, that number is expected to reach one million. 📈 The Highway 612 Springdale Bypass is the type of infrastructure project making this growth possible. We’re part of a team - led by the Arkansas Department of Transportation and Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. - designing the bypass, one of the largest public undertakings in the state’s history. Today, we see the creation of 15 bridges and the movement of more than 3 million cubic yards of dirt. Tomorrow, we see infrastructure meeting the needs of the next generation. 💚

700,000 square feet of shopping, dining, and Barrio Queen tacos. 🌮 Enjoyed partnering with SimonCRE to design Village at Prasada in the City of Surprise.

In this photo, we see two cranes 🚧 adding thousands of square feet to the Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center – Pflugerville. We also see thousands of Central Texas patients 👨👩👧👦 who will benefit from more services, expanded space, and better access to quality care. 👉 Page, Haddon+Cowan Architects

Nearly all of us will visit a pharmacy at some point. 💊 But not all pharmacies are engineered to the same high standard. Eric Granzow, PE, LEED AP, HFDP, CEM is working to solve that problem. An expert in healthcare facility design, Eric recently partnered with ASHRAE to publish new recommendations to improve the design and ventilation of compounding pharmacies nationwide. 💡 https://lnkd.in/gW8_jix7 The expectation? Safer, more efficient facilities for healthcare professionals. Safer, more effective medications for us. 💚
