With six health center locations in four Southern Indiana Counties, an accredited Clubhouse, residential group homes, and an array of services in thirty schools, we are committed to meeting your primary and behavioral health needs. Managing anxiety can be challenging, but empowering ourselves with positive coping statements can make a huge difference. Here are some affirmations to help you navigate through tough times: 💪 I am safe and going to be alright. 🧠 I can cope with this. I am stronger than I think. 💭 I can choose my thoughts; I can direct my thinking. ❤️ This is just a feeling. It will pass. 🌸 I don’t need to assume the worst. 🙋♀️ My bravery is more vital than my fear. ⏸️ I permit myself to take breaks. 🌬️ Inhale, Exhale. This will pass. 🏹 This is an opportunity for me to learn how to cope. 🚶♂️ I will not let anxiety stop me from my dreams. 😌 My feelings are allowed to be here. 🙏 Thoughts and emotions are not facts. Recently the Office of Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch visited Vincennes and shared with the Family Health Center and members of the community current mental health initiatives by State of Indiana. Family Health Center CEO Jennifer Emmons shared with the group the status of the new crisis services programming. We are so thankful for Lt. In the month of September, the Family Health Center along with Knox County Mental Health America, CFS, Corp., and Vincennes University Counseling Center will host their annual walk in support of Suicide Prevention. The Suicide Prevention Walk provides a place for those affected by suicide to honor their loved ones, connect with others that have experienced loss, and inform our community on recognizing the warning signs of suicide. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, September 21st for the walk. Check in begins at 8:30am and opening ceremony starts at 9am. Pre-registration is not required. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is just a call or text away. The Family Health Center Crisis Services provides a 24-hour a day Crisis Hotline and can be reached at 1.833.644.3575. Persons may also call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
