TDOT brought back two awards from the Annual Committee on Transportation Communications (TransComm) conference, hosted in Atlanta, GA. TDOT’s Communications team earned the highest honor nationally, the Excel Award, for the innovative 2024 National Work Zone Awareness campaign. Featuring a unique comic book theme, this campaign effectively engaged the public and raised awareness about work zone safety through video production, social media outreach, live events, media partnerships, and posters. Additionally, America’s River Crossing project won the award for best logo! The design, created by our TDOT Communications team, showcases the Memphis skyline, agnostic to a bridge design, while utilizing colors that represent both Tennessee and the United States, due to the regional and national significance of the bridge. This recognition underscores TDOT’s commitment to creativity and strategic communication.
