Kevin "KD" Dorsey, in conversation with GTMfund, shared his first-hand systems that truly move the needle for revenue leaders. He draws from his experience building multiple $100M ARR companies and training over 1,500 sales reps. We found these three to be most valuable. 👇 1. Shift from Results to Metrics Most teams focus on results—more deals, more pipeline, more revenue. But results are already in the past. Instead, focus on the metrics driving those results. Revenue, pipeline, churn—all are historical. You can’t change them. But you can influence the actions leading to them. For example: ~ Revenue: driven by win rates, ACV, and deals closed. ~ Pipeline: influenced by MQL-to-SQL conversion rates, activities per rep, or email open rates. ~ Churn: impacted by product usage, QBR frequency, and upsell opportunities. Identify the #1 metric for each rep, team, or org. Focus on improving that one per quarter for meaningful impact. “You can’t change a result without changing a metric.” 2. Scaling Success with the 4 Ds: Once you find what works, scale it with the 4 Ds: ~ Define: Clarify what good looks like. ~ Document: Write it down. If it’s not written, it doesn’t exist. Sybill makes this seamless by automatically summarizing key calls, meeting notes, and decisions. These summaries give teams a clear reference for best practices, eliminating guesswork and ensuring alignment across teams. ~ Demonstrate: Show how it’s done through demos or training. With Sybill, team leaders can use call recordings and AI-generated insights to provide specific examples of top-notch performance, making it easier to model successful behaviors. ~ Deliberate Practice: Ensure consistent practice to internalize the right behaviors. 3. Maximize Your Weekly Catch-ups: Dedicate one hour each week to refining processes—like call scorecards and pipeline checklists. Constantly updating what "good" looks like ensures everyone is clear on how to perform at their best. Structured one-on-ones are the key. Here’s KD’s approach: ~ Metrics: Reps report their key metrics (e.g., win rate, pipeline volume, percentage to goal). ~ Skill Focus: Review areas for improvement, like call reviews or discovery techniques. ~ Weekly Plan: Reps outline their focus and action plan for the week. The twist? Reps, not managers, fill out the one-on-one doc—on Fridays—so they head into the weekend clear on their goals for the next week. This builds accountability and gives both reps and leaders clarity.

The ChatGPT Prompt We Use to Shorten Our Sales Cycle 👇 We asked our sales teams to share how they’re using ChatGPT at different stages of the sales process. They highlighted the most effective prompts they’ve found invaluable. In this blog, we’ve compiled the “10 Roleplay Prompts with ChatGPT” that you can easily copy and adapt to fit your own process : https://lnkd.in/gHXW-PCS Here’s an example of how Sybill uses ChatGPT to help reduce long sales cycles: 1. Contextual Prompt: " I’m nearing the end of a long sales cycle with Lisa, the CFO of Precision Services, a B2B services company. Precision Services provides consulting and project management solutions to large enterprises, and Lisa oversees financial decisions related to new investments. Over the past three months, I’ve had several discussions and demos with Lisa and her team, and they’ve shown strong interest in Sybill. However, as the deal nears the finish line, Lisa has raised concerns about the long-term ROI of the platform. She needs to be sure Sybill will not only improve her team’s efficiency but also deliver measurable cost savings or revenue growth. Lisa is conservative with spending and highly data-driven. She’s tasked with ensuring any new tool justifies its cost through clear, quantifiable improvements in her team’s performance. 2. Goal: My goal is to provide Lisa with the data and reassurance she needs to move forward. I plan to use case studies, ROI calculations, and examples of how Sybill has delivered long-term value to similar organizations. I’ll focus on Sybill’s ability to help her team close deals faster, improve lead conversion rates, and reduce time spent on administrative tasks, while addressing Lisa’s concerns around cost and ROI. 3. Instructions: You’ll role-play this conversation with me. I’ll start, and you can ask hard questions, be skeptical, and embody Lisa's analytical mindset. I’ll begin after you respond with "Okay." Let us know what are your best practices in reducing long sales cycle in the comments below. Because after all: 👇 🤓 Picture Credits: Christina Zhu

That feeling when "it’s on the roadmap" becomes real life. One of my tech partners just shipped a huge product update that makes an already outstanding piece of sales tech – unbeatable.  #ASKSybill has arrived! One thing I really appreciate about Sybill is that they are super thoughtful about product dev. They don’t slap AI onto a product for the sake of it. This update is the ONE I’ve been waiting for. Sybill users can now talk to the tech ChatGPT-style. When I first spoke with the Sybil Team earlier this year, I shared how valuable this update would be. Sybill works so well because it takes the guesswork out of call summaries, but sometimes I have very specific questions and want to dig deeper. Sybill listened and delivered. Now, you can ask for specific outputs that tackle the pain points that slow down deal cycles: 🔺 Hunting for key details from calls 🔺 Creating internal or external recaps 🔺 Spending too much time on repetitive tasks Besides making Sybill an even better tool for sellers, here are 3 use cases that I believe can help any seller close more deals and orgs maximize profit margins. ✅ Instantly find information: Ask Sybill a question, and it'll search your calls for the answer—like ChatGPT, but built for your sales life. I already use this functionality every day. I build complex custom proposals so being able to ask nuanced questions like, "Susan said this engagement would have to include 4 or 5 things - can you give me a list of those items and please rank them based on how important they seem to be to Susan?" ^^^ That is WILD functionality. I’m sure you can see why I’m obsessed. ✅ Extract detailed insights: Want to see pain points, customer quotes, and outcomes in one place? You can have it all. Pulling direct quotes is a favorite. It helps me use the prospects' exact words in follow-up emails and proposals. It also makes it EXTREMELY easy to ask for testimonials because you can send them their own quote and simply ask for usage approval. ✅ Seamless handovers: Let Sybill draft the perfect handover for your CS team with the most relevant details across EVERY call from the sales cycle. Of all the conversational intelligence tools and I’ve tested 9 or 10, Sybill is the one most dedicated to the needs of sellers. They put sellers first and I love that about the company. It’s one of the reasons I was so keen to test the platform. I love sellers. I love sales tech. With that being said, MANY sellers are terrible at handovers. They send crappy notes to the CS team or maybe no notes at all. Using this new feature for handovers WILL = shorter time to value, increased renewals, and increased revenue. Try it for free here: https://bit.ly/3BRp4op P.S. Sybill is now integrated with Zoho and MS Dynamics CRM. This is a major release that brings even more flexibility for sales teams! #SybillPartner

I have a bad habit of writing notes during meetings, but being 100% present is a MUST. - Stop writing down everything the prospect says. - Stop breaking eye contact. - Stop forgetting the next question you wanted to ask. I started using Sybill to eliminate this. Their notetaker crafts accurate summaries, to capture: 1. Every pain & interest of your prospects 2. Any non-verbal behaviours to show engagement This has allowed me to: ↳ Focus on the prospect's tone & body language more ↳ Follow the conversation naturally ↳ Be 100% present & focused ↳ Capture every important conversation Discovery doesn’t have to be an interrogation. ↳ It's about understanding their challenges. ↳ It's about understanding whether YOU can help. ↳ It's about building trust. Can’t compromise on speed - risk losing momentum. Can’t compromise on personalisation - risk losing trust. Can’t miss key action items - risk losing the deal. Leave Sybill to handle your time-consuming tasks - https://shorturl.at/ciRhJ - - - This week I'll be starting my miniseries on securing your dream role. FYI I used Sybill for all of my interviews. It helped me to: - Capture key information to help prep for final rounds - Allow me to keep eye contact all interview - Show them how you would leverage AI in your process - Summarise the interview for my follow-up emails Tune in for the first post tomorrow on personal branding!
